This post will be covering the RX 5600 XT in depth in regards to the costs of the GPU and optimizing it properly for mining whether with BIOS modding or the proper overclocks.
RX 5600 XT is a budget friendly GPU that can give some really good performance for a low price and wattage. So your electricity pricing won’t be expensive and your performance will pretty decent.
How much does the RX 5600 XT cost?
The RX 5600 XT can be found brand new for $280 – $350 at the time of this post. You can try finding it used for cheaper costs but it does carry some risks, so please make sure to test it thoroughly before buying it and making sure that it is working properly. If the seller has a valid warranty, try to transfer it under your name as well.
The RX 5600 XT Mining Profitability
Calculating your profitability will always change and vary from day to day, hour to hour. We will eventually make a guide on how to calculate your profitability and how much money you will make, but as of now we will give you the profitability as of the day this article is posted.
We will be using CryptoCompare.com calculator to calculate profitability. Our constant factors will be that we are using 10 cents kwh for electricity and then we will be inserting in the numbers from our Effecient overclock settings.
So using the numbers above you will be able to find the electricity prices to run it in the Cost column and the Profits are the left over revenue after the electricity is paid.

RX 5600 XT is a really good GPU if you are new to cryptocurrency mining, I do see it in the future replacing the RX 580s for being the new best budget GPU. Although now with how the GPU market is looking, I do think it is best to wait out for the new cards to be available (RTX 3000 Series and Big NAVI). I believe once the newer GPUs are available, the RX 5600 XT will become cheaper, and then it will be more profitable to use them for mining unless Ethereum and Ethereum Classic moves out of the Ethash algorithm.
